“New” Dimonds?

Carbon is the fourth most abundunt element in the universe, it comes in a variety of different forms from soft graphite to extremely hard dimond. recently scientists at carnegies geophysical lab were apart of a team researching a new form of carbon, which is even harder than dimonds. experiments involvong glassy carbon were first conducted in the 1950s. The glassy carbon was found to have similar propertys as glass and carbon. The team created an extremly hard new substance, carbon allatrope. To create the new type of carbon the team presurized the glassy carbon to 400,000 times normal atmoshperic pressure.
